McLean County reports 47th COVID-19-related death, positivity rate drops Thursday

MCLEAN COUNTY (WEEK) -- The 47th COVID-19-related death in McLean County is being reported Thursday as a man in his 80s who was associated with a long-term care facility.

The McLean County Health Department is also reporting 166 new cases, bringing its total to 7,174.

As of Thursday morning, 17 residents of the county are hospitalized with COVID-19, while 1,535 are at home in isolation. So far, 5,575 are considered to be recovered.

The hospitals in the county report 75% of intensive care unit beds and 79% of all beds are in use.

The seven-day positivity rate through Wednesday is at 11.3%, and with more than 124,300 tests for the virus completed, the cumulative positivity rate is at 5.8%.
