McLean County reports 46th COVID-19-related death, surpasses 7,000 cases

MCLEAN COUNTY (WEEK) -- The McLean County Health Department is reporting the county's 46th COVID-19-related death Wednesday.

According to the MCHD's daily report, the latest death related to the virus is a man in his 60s, who was not associated with a long-term care facility.

An additional 122 cases were also reported, bringing the total to 7,008.

The seven-day positivity rate through Tuesday rose to 14.9% and with more than 122,300 tests for the virus reported, the cumulative positivity rate is at 5.7%.

Currently, 22 individuals are hospitalized with COVID-19 and 1,516 are at home in isolation. As of Wednesday morning, 5,424 are considered to be recovered.

Hospitals in McLean County are reporting 72% of intensive care unit beds are in use and 22% total beds are available. Of the beds in use, 22% are for COVID-19 patients.
