BLOOMINGTON (WEEK) - Humans and animals alike got in the Halloween spirit this weekend at the Miller Park Zoo for their annual Spooktacular.

The event was changed this year due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Families reserved time slots so they could maintain social distancing.

The kiddos got to do a scavenger hunt while enjoying the animals and got a goodie bag filled with things from local vendors.

Business manager Anthony Nelson said it is a tradition they were happy they could continue.

"People still in enjoy the zoo and we bring out families that don't come on a normal basis who come and might want to come back during the summer or when our indoor buildings are back open so thy can see some of the animals they missed. We get some repeat visitors too but it's also something families can do to get out of the house." said Nelson

If you missed our of Spooklacular you can look forward to their holiday events coming up in the first two weeks of December.
