EAST PEORIA (WEEK) - The 4th annual Spooktacular Craft and Vendor Market was all about supporting small businesses and for the organizer it was also part of an even more personal cause.
The market had something for everyone with homemade candles, baked goods, trinkets of all colors and designs, and of course spooky Halloween decorations.
While an the event was filled with joyous creations, the group that organized the fair, Angels Among Us has a very personal mission.
The fair was started by Mickie Craft after she lost her husband to suicide 11 years ago.
She organizes the fair to allow her and her fellow creators to come together and share their crafts during the holiday season.
"I feel that in the last few years I'm a point in my life where I can give back to others," said craft fair organizer, Mickie Craft. "A lot of people have been with me since the begining and it's basically become all of our causes."
The group will continue to have more fairs throughout November and December matching the different holiday themes.
