Arrest warrant issued for third suspect in connection with Peoria’s 8th homicide

PEORIA (WEEK) -- An arrest warrant has been issued for a third suspect -- a 17-year-old -- for first-degree murder in connection with the September 5 homicide of Terrence Dunigan -- Peoria's eighth homicide of 2020.

Two others previously arrested -- Tayla Zollicoffer, 19, and Keon Patterson, 16, will be tried in adult court.

Both are facing charges of first-degree murder.

Dunigan, 21, of Peoria, was located in the 3300 block of West Woodhill Lane around 6:20 p.m. Saturday, September 5.

He was found with an apparent gunshot wound, unresponsive, not breathing and with no pulse.

Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said the autopsy on Dunigan showed he died from a gunshot wound to the side and died instantly.
