EAST PEORIA (WEEK) -- One momentary distraction could put a local shop owner out of commission for a few days.
A driver took a chunk out of an East Peoria business by missing a relatively slight curve on Washington Street Monday night.
None of the 3 employees were hurt, though.
Police say the driver of an older model, light colored Lincoln sedan fell asleep and missed a curve going west on Washington, leading to a rude awakening and a big mess.
It was the last thing the owner needed after losing two months to the stay at home order.
"So, getting back open was a good thing. But, to have this happen now, things were just starting to pick up and get going again…I don't know," George Couri , owner of Couri's Fast License and Title Service.
