Peoria (WEEK) - Quest Charter Academy is launching a first time fundraiser this fall, and they're asking you to get involved by getting active.

Chief Development Officer Jay Landers said it's a five part event where they are asking supporters to pledge donations based off of their own physical fitness pursuits.

Landers said you can pledge any amount for running, walking, lifting weights, or time spent being active. All of the proceeds go toward supporting the students at Quest Charter.

"The students come and they're allowed to dream, they learn, they appreciate their family. This is what we're all about. [..] We are tuition free and there's no entrance exam. We have 550 students that need your support." said Landers

The fundraiser culminates with an in-person event at Donovan Park on October 3rd. They'll have time slots at 8,10,12, and 2 so supporters can come run, walk, or jog at their own pace while observing social distancing rules.
