Erin’s role as the manager of the Center for Healthy Lifestyles encompasses offering traditional health and wellbeing education to the community, but Erin has taken this role to a whole new level by partnering with community health organizations in order to build healthier and stronger communities.
Erin’s move into improving the health and well-being of McLean County residents includes raising awareness of heart disease among women through educational programs, starting a garden on the grounds of OSF HealthCare St. Joseph Medical Center with the produce being donated to local homeless shelters and establishing a program in the hospital to provide low-income patients suffering from chronic diseases like pulmonary and heart disease with healthy foods and recipes. Erin partners with many organizations like the Boys and Girls Club, Women Empowered and a Fit Together and Healthy Kids University programs with a local fitness centers. Her collaborations reach a projected 17,000 people a year.
