WOODFORD COUNTY (WEEK) -- The former treasurer for the American Legion Post 661 in Washburn pleaded guilty to theft charges.

Court records show Brian Gebel was found guilty Monday on day one of his trial.

It adds that one count of theft was dismissed.

Woodford County State's Attorney Greg Minger says Gebel was writing checks to himself from the legion from 2016 to 2018.
