Coroner identifies victim in Monday’s homicide in Washington

WASHINGTON (WEEK) -- The Tazewell County coroner has identified the victim in Monday's homicide in Washington.

Joshua R. Snyder, 41, of Washington, was pronounced dead at the scene in the 600 block of E. Holland at 4:33 p.m. Monday by Coroner Charles Hanley.

The cause of death was determined as multiple stab wounds, Hanley said in a release Tuesday afternoon.

Washington Police Department Chief Mike McCoy said earlier Tuesday Jordan Hyde, 32, of Washington was arrested and preliminary charged on Monday for first-degree murder in connection to the death.
