CHILLICOTHE (WEEK) - Chillicothe Police have arrested several young people for an attack on a 17-year old girl with autism.

The arrests of four teenage girls, two teenage boys, and an 18-year old man came less than a day after a video of the attack on Makenna made the rounds on Facebook.

"I'm trying to walk away, but I know you guys are going to hit me if I do," Makenna said during the incident, which was captured on a cell phone.

It all started when Makenna tried to bring a package of M & M's to a friend in the neighborhood, according to her father.

He said the group approached her, and in the video, several teens can be heard yelling at Makenna, and seen hitting her.

"It sickens you. It angers you. It disgusts you. There's just no good emotions that come out from it," said Chillicothe Police Chief Scott Mettille.

The chief said he's happy the community has stepped up to show support for the girl, even starting a Facebook page called "Kindness for Makenna.

Chillicothe police officers worked around the clock on the case, according to the chief.

Makenna's father said his daughter is doing well, is around family and friends, but he said the incident still weighs on her mind.
