PEORIA (WEEK) -- A Peoria Fire Department fire investigator says arson is the cause of an early Sunday morning RV and building fire.
The PFD was called to the 1500 block of West Lincoln just after 1 a.m. Sunday when they found an RV engulfed in the blaze, catching a building on fire.
Multiple crews were needed to extinguish the fire which took about 15 minutes.
Crews used forced entry to gain access into the building to extinguish the fire that extended into the building, according to officials.
Once the fire was extinguished, crews remained on scene to ventilate smoke from the large warehouse.
A fire investigator was called to the scene, which he determined as arson. The fire was intentionally set to the RV and to the outside of the building, according to the PFD.
Estimated damage was at $50,000.
