BLOOM REHAB

BLOOMINGTON (WEEK) - Two more residents of a Bloomington nursing home have died after contracting the novel coronavirus, the McLean County Health Department reported Friday.

Of the 13 people who have died county-wide, nine of them were residents and another person worked at the Bloomington Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

In a news release, the health department said the latest to die both had underlying medical conditions. One woman was in her 90s. The other woman was in her 70s, according to the health department.

Wednesday, the health department said the employee at the long-term care facility, a woman in her 50s, died after contracting the virus, but also had underlying medical problems.

The agency also confirmed two more COVID-19 cases, bringing to 218 the number of people who've tested positive. The health department said 175 of them have recovered, three remain hospitalized, and 27 more are in home isolation.
