Four hospitalized after rural McLean County crash

MCLEAN COUNTY (WEEK) - The fire chief from the eastern McLean County village of Cooksville said a Tuesday evening crash between a car and a pick-up truck sent four people to the hospital, although they apparently did not suffer life-threatening injuries.

The accident happened about 7:30 p.m. on Route 9 and the LeRoy-Lexington Blacktop, east of Bloomington.

Chief Roger Clark said first responders used heavy extrication equipment to free at least of the victims from the car.

Other details about the crash are not available. According to the chief, Ellsworth and LeRoy firefighters aided the Cooksville fire departtment. An ambulance crew from Downs also responded.
