Police arrest two men in connection to Monday shooting near East Bluff

PEORIA (WEEK) - Peoria Police said they arrested two men just a day after a shooting near the East Bluff.

Karon O. Brock, 24, and Chris O. Brock, 22, were arrested separately on Tuesday, each during a traffic stop.

The arrests are in connection to a Monday afternoon shooting in the 200 block of W. Republic. Police were called just after 4:00 p.m. for a ShotSpotter alert of three rounds.

Police found a 26-year-old man laying in a front yard on N. Linn St., shot in the chest. While police said his injuries are serious, he is in stable condition.

Police said they arrested Karon Brock in a traffic stop in the 2500 block of N. Knoxville. They recovered a gun in the vehicle. He was booked for armed robbery, aggravated battery, and aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon.

Not long after that police arrested Chris Brock in the area of Western and Sherman. He was booked for armed robbery and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.
