PULASKI COUNTY (WEEK) - A body discovered in southern Illinois last month has been identified as a missing young woman from the Twin-Cities, and investigators now believe she was murdered.
Illinois State Police issued a statement Tuesday night announcing authorities identified the woman as Haley Marie Decker, 18, of Normal.
Police believe Decker had moved to Missouri in January, about the time she was reported missing in Normal on January 22.
Authorities said Decker's body was found in rural Pulaski County March 26.
Police are not releasing other information about the case. Anyone with information is asked to call Illinois State Police Zone 7 Investigations at 618-542-2171 Ext 1207.
