CHILLICOTHE (WEEK) - Summer Camp Music Festival fans will have to wait a few extra months to jam.

The annual music festival in Chillicothe was set for the end of May but it's been rescheduled to August 21-23.

While organizers didn't specifically cite the coronavirus as the specific reason for the date change, a news release stated, "it has become increasingly clear that it will not be feasible to host Summer Camp Music Festival the Weekend of May 22-24 as planned."

They said all their headliners agreed to perform at the new date, but a small number of artists could change. As for which artists have to drop out, they said, "we will be making announcements regarding that in upcoming weeks as we continue to work through this."

If you already bought tickets, those are valid for August.

The Summer Camp team ended their news release saying, "We very much look forward to the day these tough, but necessary restrictions on our lives are lifted and we are once again home at Three Sisters Park, celebrating 20 years of Peace, Love and Music with all of you amazing people!"
