PEORIA (WEEK) - This is the weekend of the Monster Jam.

Six Monster Jam trucks will be revving up their engines at Peoria Civic Center.

Inside those Monster Jam trucks, that have names like Pirate's Curse, are custom made for their drivers to ensure the highest level of safety.

Drivers also wear helmets and fire suits that protect them from heat as the trucks' fuel burns at a high level.

Before hitting the pedal to the metal, drivers graduate from Monster Jam University to learn how to tame those wild beasts.

"Fifteen-hundred horse power motors in these trucks, 66 inch BKT tires, 12,000 pounds of just raw adrenaline and we put these things up on their front wheels, their back wheels," said Pirate's Curse driver Justin Hicks.

Three shows are on tap this weekend, with ticket prices starting at $18.
