PEORIA (WEEK) -- When it comes to using the Uber ride-hailing service, the Peoria area has some of the best-behaved passengers for drivers in the country, according to new a ratings report.
Uber released the rider ratings report Thursday, citing Peoria as No. 34 in the country for best-behaved riders.
"Uber ratings aim to foster mutual respect between riders and drivers and strengthen our community. After each trip, riders and drivers have the opportunity to rate one another from 1 to 5 stars, based on their trip experience," according to the report from Uber.
Topping the list for the best-behaved riders in the country are Colorado Springs, Colorado; Birmingham, Alabama; and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Globally, the United States is ranked No. 48 on this list of the best-behaved riders.
For a better rating for riders, Uber listed the top "pet peeves" of drivers that could potentially lower a rider's rating:

- Spilling food and drinks
