BLOOMINGTON (WEEK) - Police in tactical gear took over the area of Mill and Gridley Streets, but officers on scene told us it was all just a drill.
Some Bloomington residents reached out to us Wednesday, concerned about a large police presence in their neighborhood.
Bloomington Police Department said throughout the year they do "practice raids" in abandoned homes. Before training begins, officers go door-to-door to let neighbors know they should not be concerned.
Police also put out road signs to let people know there's a training in-progress.
