PEORIA (WEEK) -- A dog became the target and victim during a home invasion Friday, February 14th.
Peoria Police say it happened in the 1100 block of West Thrush Avenue at 1:04 a.m.
Three black males kicked in a door to a residence and proceeded to shoot the dog and ransack the home.
The suspects ran off and are still believed to be at-large. It's unclear what items, if any were taken.
Although there was at least one person inside the home during the invasion, no other injuries besides the dog, were reported.
Police are investigating.
