Trio identified after shooting injures 1

PEORIA (WEEK) -- Peoria police have identified the three men arrested after a shooting Thursday afternoon that left one man with non-life-threatening injuries to both legs. 

Kieshawn Crowder, 21; Isaiah Nunn-Brown, 19; and Jayvion Lee, 19 were arrested after police responded to reports of three males dressed in all black and armed with guns in the vicinity of Harrison Homes. 

Responding officers reported hearing gunfire in the 1700 block of South Griswold when a ShotSpotter alert indicated seven rounds in the 1800 block, according to police. 

Officers located one person running southbound in the alley of the 1700 block of South Stanley jumping fences when Crowder was taken into custody without incident.  

Crowder advised officers he was having a medical emergency – he was then transported to the hospital for evaluation and then transported to the police department for interview purposes. 

Other officer pursued the other two men on foot in the 1600 block of South Arago when both ran into a house and out the back. 

Nunn-Brown and Lee were subsequently taken into custody and transported to be interviewed. 

All three were later arrested on the following charges and transported to the Peoria County Jail: 

Kieshawn Crowder: 

  • Aggravated battery/use of a deadly weapon 
  • Unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon 
  • Aggravated unlawful use of a weapon 
  • Obstructing an officer 
  • Possession of a firearm without a FOID card. 

Isaiah Nunn-Brown: 

  • Aggravated battery/use of a deadly weapon 
  • Aggravated unlawful use of a weapon 
  • Obstructing an officer 
  • Possession of a firearm without a FOID card. 

Jayvion Lee: 

  • Unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon 
  • Aggravated unlawful use of a weapon 
  • Obstructing an officer 
  • Possession of a firearm without a FOID card. 

A firearm was recovered.
