PEORIA (WEEK) -- Aspiring engineers can enjoy a free day at Peoria's Riverfront Museum this weekend.
It's Engineering Day, and it's specially for scientists, engineers, and, of course, kids of all ages.
Visitors can check out a car from AutonomouStuff and take part in activities about the sun and solar systems, all of which are run by local engineering firms.
"Kids are very creative. They love playing with things. And that's what engineering is all about is being creative," said Nick Rae with the Riverfront Museum Planetarium, "It's playing with things. It's figuring out things, solutions. And everybody will have a chance to get their hands dirty and play with all kinds of fun, futuristic stuff."
The free engineering day runs from noon until 5:00 PM on Sunday, Feb. 16th, at the Peoria Riverfront Museum.
