PEORIA (WEEK) - Committee members searching for Bradley University's next president has made a recommendation about who they want to lead the school, and Bradley's board of trustees has met with that candidate.
Search committee co-chairs James Shadid and Kathi Holst provided an update this week to the campus community, but the name of the presidential hopeful is not being released.
The recommendation was made after the committee conducted a second round of interviews last week with selected candidates.
The co-chairs said they "realize this is a lengthy process and want you to rest assured we are moving forward."
"The committee and board of trustees recognize the importance of this process and are committed to doing our due diligence in order to find the right leader for our institution," the memo said.
"Please know we are moving at a deliberate speed with the hope of naming Bradley’s next president soon."
Bradley's leaders are looking to replace retiring President Gary Roberts, who's stepping down at the end of May.
