PEORIA HEIGHTS (WEEK) -- Multiple fire crews are on scene of a house fire in Peoria Heights Tuesday night.
The call came in around 7:40 PM from the 900 block of E. Paris Avenue.
Mutual aid was called about 20 minutes later.
"We initially started to knock it down from the outside. And then we took the lines inside," Peoria Heights Fire Chief Greg Walters told 25 News, "There was fire all through the building: inside and outside."
Initial reports indicated a pet may have still been inside the home, but a battalion chief tells 25 News he's unsure if firefighters found it.
No one has been reported injured, and the residents of the home were able to get out safely before first responders arrived.
Fire officials did not immediately know the cause of the fire or how much damage was done.
