Mild Now, but Snow & Cold Comes Back

We'll see mid-to-upper 30s and peeks of sunshine for Tuesday, but accumulating snow and polar air soon makes an appearance in central Illinois.

Today: Nearby high pressure keeps some breaks in the cloud cover. Because of that, highs get into the mid-upper 30s. Winds will be west-northwesterly near 10-15 mph.

Wednesday/Thursday Snow: We'll see our next weather-maker move in Wednesday afternoon and cause a messy drive home. Snow lingers into overnight and could stick around for some of us early Thursday morning.

Forecast Snow Totals: Most weather models are in agreement that the area will see 3+ inches of snow. I buy into it. We'll keep you up to date though, as things could change.

7-Day: Temperatures will drop drastically late this week. Lows early Friday morning, will be well below zero.
