PEORIA (WEEK) -- EasterSeals of Central Illinois took over the Peoria Civic Center on Friday night for an important fundraiser.
It was the 15th Annual Black Tie and Blue Jeans event, also known as the "Black and Blue" Ball.
It featured a live silent auction plus entertainment. EasterSeals of Central Illinois provides services to children with developmental delays and disabilities.
Those services, parents say, are critical.
"They lift them up. They give all the incredible treatment to the kids and all the support to the family," said parent and supporter Eric Scovill, "and that's something that, as a parent, I just can't possibly comprehend. So, I want to do everything I possibly can to support people who are doing that."
Many of the items up for auction were sports-related.
The whole event ran for six hours at the Peoria Civic Center.
