Bye bye mild temps!
Cooler Today: We only get into the upper 30s at best with cloud cover and breezy northeasterly winds, gusting near 30 mph.
Snow Chances Ramp Up: Occasional rain/snow showers are possible the next couple of days. Snow becomes widespread with a piece of energy that moves through late Wednesday through Thursday.
Snow Totals & Timing: Accumulating snow will likely start late Wednesday afternoon and linger off and on through much of the daytime hours Thursday.
Snow Surplus: We're already ahead on our normal snowfall for the year. This system will put us close to the seasonal normal, so we're on track for a winter with above normal snowfall.
7-Day: Expect highs near average the next week in central Illinois.
