It may be cold outside, but the cookies were warmed today when girl scouts from across Central Illinois prepared for their annual sale.
Saturday in Bloomington, the moguls came together at the McLean County Fairgrounds. They learned how to make business plans, sell their famous treats, and much more.
The annual get together is a time for the girls to learn skills that will help them sell cookies today and whatever else they want to once they start their careers.
"We want them to learn business ethics and goal setting, communication skills, people skills. One of the five educational pillars of Girl Scouting is financial literacy and the way we teach financial literacy is through developing entrepreneurs and these girls are their own business owners," said Pam Kovacevich, CEO of Girl Scouts of Central Illinois.
The annual cookie campaign will begin in the coming weeks, but if you want to pre-order their newest cookie...the "lemon up" you can do that online.
