(WEEK) – In Peoria, one man has put his money behind a lot of area projects this year.
That man is Kim Blickenstaff.
He bought a 50 percent stake in redeveloping the Peoria armory.
He’s also developing 200 acres near Spring Bay, turning it into a resort and retreat area featuring fishing and hunting.
A new performing arts center located in the old Peoria Heights library opened this past year.
And in May, Blickenstaff broke ground on the site of a future 55 room boutique-style atrium hotel in the Heights, expected to be done in 2020.
