Peoria, Ill. (WEEK) – Shots were fired in several areas of Peoria early Friday morning. The first incident left a man hurt in the 1900 block of Wisconsin Avenue.
Peoria police say he was shot in the back around 2:50 a.m. The man’s aunt told officers a black truck pulled up and someone started shooting at her nephew. Police are still investigating the incident.
Officers were also called to reports of shots fired 10 minutes later near the 700 block of Hurlburt Street and Richard Pryor Place. Officers found multiple shell casings throughout the street on Pryor from Hurlburt to McBean. There were no victims or suspects found at the scene.
Police later responded to a shots fired incident on the 1400 block of Western Avenue around 9:15 a.m. Residents told police they saw a black SUV chasing a white car going eastbound on Western from Humboldt. They told police someone was pointing a gun out of the window of the black car. Several shell casings were found in the street, but there were no victims or damage to property.
