Tracking glioblastoma in central Illinois

glio tracker horizontal

(WEEK) -- Three weeks ago, we examined the effects of glioblastoma -- a rare and deadly form of brain cancer that impacts about three out of 100,000 people.

Glioblastoma is nearly always fatal, but it is difficult to get a handle on how many of our viewers are facing this threat.

If you would like to share your current glioblastoma experience with us, you can email gliotracker@week.com.

We ask you submit:

  • Name
  • Age
  • Gender
  • Date of diagnosis
  • Doctor (glioblastoma)
  • Zip code
  • Contact information

Please note: These names are needed to verify the conditions but WILL NOT appear on air or on our websites.

Each confirmed glioblastoma patient will simply be identified as man/woman, age, date of diagnosis, and zip code.

The goal is to then use a map so anyone can view it to check for updates 24/7 and also look to see if there are any locations that seem to have more cases than other areas.
