PEORIA (WEEK) – Two stabbings have been reported Wednesday in the River City.
The first one occurred around 3:30 p.m. in the vicinity of South Shelley and West Antoinette streets.
The victim there sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital, according to the Peoria Police Department.
A female has been detained in relation to that incident.
The second stabbing occurred around 7:45 p.m. in the 600 block of West Romeo B Garret Avenue where officers responded to a female stabbed in the arm.
Injuries are not life-threatening.
It is unknown if the two incidents are related.
The investigation is ongoing.
