BLOOMINGTON (WEEK) — This week on “You Gotta Eat” Alex Menke took Jesse Guinn to the Garden of Paradise.
The Garden of Paradise is one delicious secret in Bloomington.
“The food, The company I’m with… We come in and have breakfast every other Tuesday,” said customer Vonnie Troyer.
The plate was full of my favorite food group — sugar. This is the the “Banana Split Waffle.”
Gooey, sweet, and full of ice cream, chocolate syrup, bananas, and strawberries.
For my side, I went with chocolate milk.
Jesse had a savory plate, the “Hobo Skillett”.
It’s a nice mix of veggies, egg, hash browns and gravy.
While talking to customers, they could not imagine not having this place in town.
“Friendly atmosphere. They have good food. The waitress’ are nice. It’s convenient to come here. We come every Tuesday for breakfast,” said customer Ken Hunter.
The owners are happy to have created this slice of paradise for their customers.
“Family oriented place. We work together in a family atmosphere. We have a lot of families that come in here consider us their family.”
For three people our bill turned out to be $32.84.
Before we left, Jesse and I were treated to some bonus samples including potato soup, a breakfast sandwich, and fire cheese!
