Bloomington man holds steak knife to woman’s throat

BLOOMINGTON, IL (WEEK)

A Bloomington man is facing felony charges in a domestic violence case after he was accused of holding a steak knife to woman’s throat.

According to our news partners WJBC RADIO, 55 year old Andre Banks allegedly asked a woman to move out of the house in the 1200 block of Orchard Rd. early Friday morning.

Authorities said Banks held her down for about three minutes with a steak knife to her throat as she was packing.

Police said she was able to get up and leave the home.

Banks has been charged with aggravated unlawful restraints and domestic battery.
