Spooky Halloween Winter Weather

UPDATE – 10 AM: We’re seeing accumulations of nearly 3 inches west of the Illinois River valley this morning.

Be safe on the roads. Here’s was the site on our downtown Peoria OSF cam around 10:00.

A Winter Weather Advisory continues through 4 PM for the entire area.
Snow: up to 4″ is possible in parts of central Illinois.
Winds: also a problem — with gusts up to 35 mph.

Snowfall Amounts: We’ve adjusted our forecast totals downward, but still expect the highest amounts further north. Southward, we could see a little rain mix in at times as temperatures hover near freezing today.

Timing: Expect snow to end by mid-afternoon or so, but it’ll still be COLD for trick-or-treating. It’ll feel like the teens!
