ISU student allegedly groped by Uber driver

Illinois State University Police say a student says she was groped by an Uber driver early Saturday morning. The student reported she left a party off-campus and got an Uber ride home.

According to ISU Police the driver took her onto an unknown street and attempted to have sex with her.

The driver of that Uber has been identified by police. The Normal Police Department is investigating the incident.

ISU wants to remind students that if they have experienced an incident of sexual assault/misconduct they are encouraged to contact the University Title IX office.
