BLOOMINGTON (WEEK) – Military veterans will soon have another place to check in for services, including often missing mental health choices.
Set to open on Hamilton Road, the building offers more than 20,000 square feet with programs such as mental health services plus social workers, dieticians, a pharmacist and lab.
“And we know that this area is enriched with more than 20,000 eligible veterans,” said Melissa Spady of the Department of Veterans Affairs. “So it made perfect sense for us to place this VA clinic right within the Bloomington-Normal area.”
It was approved back in March 2017, but as with many other VA processes, it took awhile to complete.
They plan to open next month.
