Over the Edge event raises funds for kids in need

Rappelling down an eleven story building, all to support kids in need. That was the mission of Bloomington-Normal’s first ever “Over the Edge” event.

Participants raised one thousand dollars for the chance to rappel down the side of the Marriott Building.

All proceeds went to the Bloomington-Normal Boys and Girls Club and the Child Protection Network.

Hundreds came out to see their friends, family, and co workers hundreds of feet in the air, all for a great cause.

“So our organizations feel that it is very important to support the kids, that they can be anything they want to be and they deserve a safe and loving home, free from abuse and neglect so it’s very important for us to be there for the kids in our community and our community supporting our non profits means more than anything.” said Director of Development for the Boys and Girls Club of Bloomington-Normal Kimberly Wright

“Over the Edge” said since 2008 they have helped non profits around the world raise over $99 million.
