Jury finds Casey’s armed robbery suspect guilty

BLOOMINGTON (WEEK) — For robbing a Casey’s General Store in 2018 with the use of a firearm, a woman faces 21-45 years in prison.

According to the McLean County State’s Attorney, Mary Harris was found guilty of armed robbery after the jury returned its verdict Thursday afternoon.

Harris will not be eligible for probation, State’s Attorney Don Knapp said in a release Friday.

Our news partner WJBC reported Harris was arrested after the armed robbery at Casey’s General Store in the 2000 block of Fox Creek Road on December 16.

Harris is a former Casey’s employee.

Also arrested in the incident was Calvin Harris.

It was reported an employee was in his vehicle in the parking lot when one suspect pointed a gun at him. The employee was robbed of over $5,000 in cash.
