PEORIA (WEEK) – The City of Peoria is hosting their subsidy match kickoff event Saturday, November 2 where eligible Peoria residents can receive a $100 discount on the purchase of a Ring device, with 1,000 discount codes available.
The event is 9 -1 p.m. in the center space on the lower level of Northwoods Mall, 2200 W. War Memorial Drive.
Residents must present a valid form of ID and a copy of a utility bill in order to verify their residency and receive their discount information, the city said in an announcement on their website.
Discounts will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Residents will receive a discount code at the event. Codes are limited to one per household and cannot reused.
Councilman Jim Montelongo said improving neighborhood safety through technology is a city goal.
“I want to eliminate home burglaries through security cameras on every doorstep in Peoria.”
Only credit card purchases will be accepted, no cash or checks.
In the event that all discounts are not redeemed during the kickoff event, an application will be made available at www.peoriagov.org, which will stay active until funding has been exhausted.
The $100 discount is funded equally between the city and Ring.
