Peoria Police officer arrested for aggravated domestic battery

UPDATE 8:35 PM – New details have been released in connection Pearson-Boswell’s arrest.

Around 1:09 PM Thursday, Peoria Police were called to the 3400 block of Baskin Ridge regarding a male requesting police assistance.

The male caller identified himself as a Peoria Police Officer, and said he was having trouble with a female.

He also said that he had been assaulted and was bleeding from the head.

When police arrived, officers interviewed both parties, and the investigation was handed over to Illinois State Police.

ISP later arrested Pearson-Boswell for aggravated domestic battery and interfering with reporting domestic violence.

Ofc. Pearson-Boswell, a probationary officer, has been placed on administrative leave.

Illinois State Police are in charge of the ongoing investigation.

Officer Pearson-Boswell was sworn in to the Peoria Police Department about a year ago.

 

In January, he graduated from the Police Training Institute as a probationary officer with PPD.

 

PEORIA (WEEK) — A Peoria Police officer has been arrested on multiple charges.

Peoria County Jail records show the Larry Pearson-Boswell faces charges of aggravated domestic battery and interfering with report of domestic violence.

Peoria Police Chief Loren Marion confirmed that Pearson-Boswell is an officer with the department.

According to the Peoria Police Department Facebook page, Pearson-Boswell was sworn in about a year ago and graduated from the Police Training Institute in January.
