Putnam County public defender sees solicitation charges dropped, battery charge remains

PUTNAM COUNTY (WEEK) — A Putnam County public defender accused of sexual misconduct has had those charges dismissed.

However, attorney Roger Bolin pleaded guilty today to a misdemeanor charge in connection with a prostitution sting in May.

The two counts of solicitation of a sexual act were dropped and only a charge of battery will be enforced.

Bolin was sentenced to one-year court supervision.

If that supervision is successfully completed, that charge will be dismissed as well.
