One more day of oppressive heat and humidity, and the chance of some PM storms.
Today: Highs will reach the upper 80s again, feeling like the mid 90s with the humidity figured in. Partly cloudy with stray chances of storms after noon. The chance becomes more isolated in the late afternoon hours before storms are more likely later on. Winds: SSW near 10 mph.
Tonight: Storms will impact parts of central Illinois after around 8 PM as a cold front approaches. There’s a chance a few of these could be a bit strong. As of now, the best chance of severe storms will be mainly north and west of the viewing area. The best chance of severe activity would include high winds.
Weekend Forecast: Cooler, drier weather returns behind that cold front so Friday and Saturday will bring great weather for the Morton Pumpkin Festival!
