Considerable traffic delays possible as Bradley students move onto campus

PEORIA, Ill. (WEEK) — Prepare for an influx of Bradley Braves this weekend, as students move to campus.

Move-in weekend starts Saturday at 7 AM.

While Bradley University police will handle all traffic on campus, Peoria Police will help handle traffic on University Street.

Police want you to be aware that traffic at the intersection of University and Main, University and St. James, and University and Bradley will be impacted all day Saturday.

The following roads will be closed starting at 7 a.m.: Elmwood at Main, St. James at University, Bradley at Duryea, and Bradley at Institute.

Expect considerable delays on University Avenue between I-74 and campus especially between 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday.

Peoria Charter buses will be redirected to the front of Renaissance Coliseum on Main Street rather than the Michel Student Center on both Friday and Saturday.

You are asked to plan extra time, and be aware of pedestrian traffic.

Classes start on Wednesday, August 28th.
