Sweet Kids Cruise-in car show

Creve Coeur (WEEK) – Some rode in style today for a good cause at the 9th Annual Sweet Kids Cruise-In Car Show.

Cars from every decade were on display in Creve Coeur today to raise money for the Pediatric Diabetes Resource Center at the Childrens Hospital. This family fun event featured a silent auction and door prizes.

Most importantly there is a patient invited from the PDRC. They get to pick their favorite car receiving a trophy as their memory of the day. The overall message of this event is to come together for a good cause.

“Diabetes is a disease that your involved in for the rest of your life it just doesn’t go away. The education the PDRC gives you helps you deal with it and through the time that your with them to the age of eighteen they are helping you they are teaching you the new technology their just great,” said Event Coordinator Dan Jones.

Over the past nine years of this event they have raised 46-thousand dollars for the PDRC. Last year they hit a milestone at nine thousand dollars. They are hoping to top that amount this year.
