25 Women in Leadership: Kim McClintic

Kim McClintic is a registered dietitian at the Center for Healthy Lifestyles at OSF HealthCare St.Joseph Medical Center and is the community’s favorite dietitian and educator due to her outgoing personality and can-do attitude.

Kim provides nutritional education to thousands of people each year through classes and special events. She empowers others to make changes and to lead a healthy lifestyle.

Kim has been instrumental in the development of the OSF SmartMeals program which was established in 2017 through a donor gift to be used for community outreach. This educational program provides the ingredients to make one free healthy, quick and affordable meal which is high in fiber and low in fat and sodium.

Anyone in the community can receive a SmartMeals bag. Each bag contains the ingredients, the recipe and the instructions on how to prepare the meal along with important educational materials and information on the importance of each ingredient. A shopping list is also provided so someone can replicate the meal again.

Every meal has four servings with each meal costing $7 or less. In the past year, over 1,600 meals have been donated. Kim is active throughout her community. You can find her serving on the Unit 5 Wellness Committee, McLean County Wellness Coalition and the Healthy Eating/ Active Living Priority Action Team just to name a few.

From health fairs to cooking classes you’ll find Kim helping to make us healthier here in the Midwest.

Let’s welcome her to the 25 Women in Leadership.
