Bloomington-Normal to see new vision care practice

BLOOMINGTON (WEEK) — A merger of four Bloomington-Normal eye practices will culminate in its opening and seeing of scheduled patients on Tuesday, August 6. 

VisionPoint Eye Center, located at 1107 Airport Road in Bloomington, will offer eye health exams and medical care for various eye diseases, according to a release. LASIK surgery and minor eye surgical procedures will take place in the new facility, as well as postoperative visits. 

A new eyewear boutique, called 1107 Optique, is also launching featuring approximately 2000 frame options. 

Daily hours for VisionPoint and 1107 Optique are Mondays and Thursdays from 8 a.m.-6 p.m., Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.VisionPoint will close at 3 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month for staff training and continuing education.  If patients have questions about the move and/or would like to schedule an appointment, they can call (309) 662-7700. 

A ribbon cutting ceremony with the McLean County Chamber of Commerce will take place on August 27 at 3:30 p.m. and a public open house is planned for Saturday, September 14 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
