NORMAL (WEEK) — Police are investigating an incident of aggravated battery along Constitution Trail in Normal.
According to the Normal Police Department, officers were called to the area near the Connie Link Amphitheatre for a female who was assaulted at about 6:30 a.m. July 13. The victim was jogging on the trail when she was pushed to the ground held down while he pulled on her shirt, a press release stated. The male told the victim to be quiet or he would harm her with a knife, although the victim did not see a knife.
She screamed which caused the male to run away, according to the report.
Police are currently searching for a black male, slightly taller than 5’5″, a slight to medium build with medium to dark complexion.
