It was a short day seven in federal court. A jury will decide this week whether the man convicted of killing a U of I student from China should receive the death penalty.
Court let out before 11 Tuesday morning. Once the jury was present, the defense rested. The prosecution then began their rebuttal to the defense’s testimony.
